I hate to be the one to point this out, but the emotional immaturity of some of our political actors is very concerning.
Is Gabby Asare Otchere Darko and Bumpty Akufo-Addo government officials? Are these two government appointees?
So how did their names find it’s way into the so-called family government list released by the communications directorate of the NDC?
As a matter of fact, Ibrahim Mahama and some of the seventeen siblings of John Mahama were very powerful in the erstwhile regime but there was never a time where their names were included in any list as family government.
While rational political players in civilised democracies debate policies the best way to move their nations forward, and protecting the young generation, the attention of some of the Ghanaian political leadership is fixated on peripheral matters.
Well, the battle for 2020 isn’t gonna be about ‘family government’ nor yellow propaganda. It is gonna be about policy, policy, policy.
Let us therefore not get engrossed with futile propaganda but rather how to win the battle against poverty, disease, hunger, illiteracy, ethnocentrism, environmental degradation and squalor.
And whiles at it, let’s act as smart beings and not elevate some of these locker room girls talk and gossips on top of our national discourse. It isn’t pretty and it may well come back to bite us in the arse some day.
Good day folks!!!
