Kotoko are guaranteed a whopping $275,000 should they make it to the Group stage of the CAF Confederation Cup.

A 3-2 win over Cameroonian side Coton Sport puts the team in pole position to make it to the group stage of the Confederation Cup, their first away victory in the competition since 2002 when they defeated Congolese Club AS Police.

The Porcupine Warriors who are now one foot into the money zone could receive the said amount as part of CAF’s arrangement to Clubs who make it to the group phase of the competition.

Coach CK Akunnor and his men are to arrive in the country today where they will continue preparation for the second leg match at the Babayara Sports Stadium this weekend.
