Former You Tuber Austin Jones has been sentenced to ten years in prison after he pleaded guilty to one count of “receipt of child pornography”.

Jones rose to fame as a musician with his ‘‘acapella’’ covers of popular songs. In 2015, there were controversies of him contacting underage girls to send him explicit videos.

YouTube removed Jones’ channel back in February after his guilty plea but Jones was later arrested in 2017 for soliciting explicit videos from two underage girls. Jones pleaded guilty to the charges while YouTube demonetized his account, it didn’t initially remove his account but later changed its mind and took the channel down. Now, Jones will spend up to a decade in prison.
